This has to be the best TikTok viral food I’ve come across: baked oats. It’s a high-protein healthy breakfast that feels like you’re eating cake, but has no sugar at all! I loved it so much, I thought that this recipe could use a bit of a CBD twist, and voila we have VAAY’s CBD baked oats, inspired by the viral tin Tok hit.
A slice of this heavenly cake pairs well with the slightly citrus & earthy hemp flavours of our nourishing CBD gummies! It’s the perfect source of both fiber and protein, and an extra portion of hemp extract.
If you consume oats for breakfast on the regular, then baking your oats is a great way to switch up the texture of your breakfast oatmeal, when the oats are finely grinded into the batter, it bakes into a nice soft cake.
Here’s what you need to make it:
1/2 cup rolled oats or quick oats
1 ripe banana
1 Tbsp peanut butter (cashew butter also works)
1 Tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Butter or oil
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a ramekin or oven-safe pan with cooking spray.
- In a blender combine all the ingredients until smooth and well-blended, about one minute.
- Transfer the batter into the prepared ramekin. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, until toothpick inserted in the center comes out with just a couple of crumbs. Allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before serving.
